FAQs

Discover clear and honest answers to your frequently asked questions.

Should I choose a bath lift or a walk-in bath?

Generally, people choose a bath lift if they are on a budget or have multiple users, with and without mobility difficulties using the bath, such as in a family setting. Bath lifts may also be used temporarily, whereas walk-in baths provide long-term, safe and comfortable solutions. However, choosing between the two depends on your current needs and preferences.

What’s the difference between bath lifts and power baths?

Bath lifts can be placed inside a standard bath and help you gently lower into the bath and lift out of the water. They are a great option if you want to keep your current bath. On the other hand, power baths are specifically designed with strong, built-in mechanisms such as powered seats. These offer a more comprehensive, supported bathing experience and also have features that can support you to move from your bed to bath with ease.

How do walk-in baths work?

Walk-in baths have a door that allows you to walk into the bath area without stepping up and over the side wall. Generally, the door opens inward, so the water presses the door and its seal against the bath, keeping it watertight. Our walk-in baths also have thermostatic valve options, which we recommend to keep the water temperature safe while you sit in the tub as it fills.
