The Molly Bather is one of the most versatile bath lifts on the market. It allows you to use the full length, width and depth of your existing bathtub whilst providing the support you need to lower and raise yourself in and out of the tub with ease.
Older adults can benefit from mobility bath lifts as they provide a safe, easy way to enter and exit the bath without needing assistance. This reduces the risk of slips and falls and promotes independence during their bathing experience.
People with chronic health conditions, such as arthritis or muscle weakness, benefit from bath lifts by reducing the physical strain of getting in and out of the bath. This allows them to enjoy a comfortable, relaxing bathing experience without discomfort or risk.
Bath lifts allow a smooth transfer into and out of the bathtub without standing or stepping over high bath edges. Some bath lifts and belts come with transfer stools, such as The Molly Bather, making it ideal for wheelchair users who want to enjoy easy transfers in and out of the bathtub.

A popular alternative to a bath lift is a walk-in bath, which features a small swing door that allows users to walk into the bath (rather than using a bath lift to get over the side walls). A walk-in bath is suitable for those who can manage a small step height of around 8 or 9 inches – roughly the same height as a step on a flight of stairs.
Alternatively, a sit-in tub-style bath is another option that may suit users who find it challenging to get in and out of a traditional lying-down bathing position. Similar to walk-in baths, tub-style baths also feature small doors for easy entry and exit, plus a comfortable fitted seat to provide a supported, seated bathing experience.
One of the disadvantages of bath lifts is that they do not help in getting over the wall of the bath. The bather will either have to step into the bath or perch on the edge of the bath, swing their legs over and into the bathtub and then shuffle their bottom onto the bath lift seat.
We offer a selection of bath lifts, including bath lift seats and belts. Contact our friendly accessible bathroom experts today to discuss your needs in more detail.
