FAQs

Discover clear and honest answers to your frequently asked questions.

What are the benefits of a power-assisted bath?

A power-assisted bath provides ease for both users and carers alike. They offer a safe, long-term solution for individuals with mobility challenges, plus customisation options such as air spas and chromotherapy lighting to enhance the experience. Power-assisted baths are specifically designed to allow carers to assist users with minimal physical strain, plus they streamline the bathing process in busy, care home environments.

Should I choose a non-assisted or assisted power bath?

An assisted power bath is designed for users who need help from a caregiver or family member during bathing. These baths typically include mechanisms such as powered seats and bathing platforms and integrate with mobile hoist systems. This allows caregivers to support their families or clients in an easy and effortless way for everyone involved.

On the other hand, a non-assisted power bath is designed for users who can bathe independently but may still need some assistance from built-in features. These baths include powered mechanisms such as seats or doors that make it easier for users to enter, exit, and bathe independently without needing help from another person.

Should I choose a bath lift or a power bath?

Choosing between a bath lift and a power bath depends on your needs, preferences and budget. Bath lifts offer a cost-effective solution and allow you to keep your current bath, simply enhancing its accessibility. However, they do not provide the same levels of comfort as a fully integrated power bath. Still, they can be an ideal temporary, short-term solution during recovery from illness or accidents.

Power baths offer a more comprehensive, all-in-one solution with strong, built-in features such as powered seats, doors and spa options. They are better suited to those with limited mobility who want a long-term, safe, independent, enjoyable bathing experience.
