Crossroads Care Surrey
I’m a Director, Get Me Out of Here!’ Challenge
Crossroads Care Surrey is a registered charity that has been providing services for unpaid carers across Surrey for over forty years. Our enthusiastic director, Darren, got involved with their recent ‘I’m a Director Get Me Out of Here!’ challenge.
After completing the event, Darren said ‘I want to express my gratitude to everyone who sponsored me in “I’m a Director, Get Me Out of Here!” to raise funds for @Crossroads Care Surrey. We collectively raised over £25,000 to support unpaid carers!
The challenges, however, were definitely not for the faint of heart – from eating fish eyes and critters to surviving being gunged, but it was an unforgettable experience. Knowing that it was all for such an amazing cause made every moment worth it.”
Congratulations to everyone at Crossroads Care Surrey for organising such a fantastic event and for the vital work you do in supporting unpaid carers. We’ve made a real impact collectively, and I’m incredibly proud to have been a part of this.”
PHAB
Parallel Windsor Festival of Inclusivity
Our passionate team attended the Parallel Windsor Festival of Inclusivity event as the main sponsor of PHAB, a UK association of over 120 local clubs with a shared commitment to inclusion and accessibility.
Our team got involved in various ways, with our managing director, Darren, swapping his brogues for his trainers to run the 5 km challenge with his son, James, our bathroom designer, and Kevin (the husband of our operations manager, Sarah), who also joined in.
The wider team ran a very popular Absolute Mobility-themed funfair game where players had to “Knock the Duck Down” with bean bags.
League of Friends
Sponsorship & Fundraising Challenges
We are proud to sponsor the League of Friends, an independent Berkshire charity that ensures that people treated in the RBH and Wokingham Hospital have the easiest and most comfortable time possible.
We support their fundraising efforts through sponsorship, and one of our compassionate staff members, Emily, has been inspired to take fundraising to the next level – climbing three mountains in a year with her son whilst raising money for this incredible charity.
“Our partnership with Absolute Mobility is innovative and not reliant on the old traditional ways of fundraising. Absolute Mobility also helps with the maintenance of the coffee shops and their refurbishment. They have created a platform using QR codes that gives us a return for any sales in the coffee shop, which is an exciting, innovative and progressive way of raising money for the NHS. It’s a direct way of fundraising, which is mutually beneficial for both parties.”Richard Dolinski, League of Friends
Alzheimer’s Dementia Support (ADS)
Santa Fun Run, Stalls & Games
ADS offers constructive practical guidance and a wide range of services designed to help people who are directly or indirectly affected by Dementia. Our team attended the Christmas Alzheimer’s Dementia Support event, providing a stall and games. Emily, James and Darren also ran the Santa 5k Fun Run in full spirit, wearing their festive Santa suits!
Sports Together Berkshire
Sponsorship, Festivals & Merchandise
Sports Together Berkshire is a community of sports clubs working together to increase opportunities for people who face barriers to participate in physical activity. At Absolute Mobility, we support this community group with events such as the Festival of Inclusivity, plus support with sponsorship and merchandise.
“Absolute Mobility has enabled us to raise additional funds, aiding patient recovery through clinical work and the purchasing of live-saving equipment, such as plasma exchange machines that save an average of 15 lives annually.”Richard Dolinski, League of Friends
Team BRIT
New Accessible Toilet Space & Sponsorship
Our partnership with Team BRIT is a dream come true for Darren, our self-confessed, petrolhead director. Team BRIT is truly extraordinary, supporting individuals with physical and psychological challenges in accessing motorsport through innovative technology, inspiration, and expertise. We were honoured to design and install a new, accessible toilet space at Team BRIT’s headquarters in Sussex and continue to support their incredible work through various sponsorship initiatives.
Berkshire Banshees Wheelchair Rugby Team
Ongoing Fundraising Support
Berkshire Banshees is recognised by Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby as Berkshire’s first Wheelchair Rugby Club. We are proud to have partnered with this incredible team, offering fundraising support as a natural extension of our existing work and values.
“I believe that business success and community impact are inseparable, which is evident in my company’s long-term partnerships with charities and local organisations that create measurable positive change. Community support runs throughout Absolute Mobility and I believe corporate success and community upliftment go hand in hand.”Darren O’Connel, Director, Absolute Mobility
